The history of Norrath was forged by people like my ancestor Belegund who was a druid and Slowride his friend who was an assassin, who wandered the land 500 years ago. The Gods of our age have disappeared and the moon of Luclin has exploded. The geography of Norrath has suffered great earthquakes and continents have scattered apart. Qeynos and Freeport have been built as monuments to prosperity. The battle between good and evil continues, it is shown in the fight between the two cities, Qeynos which is good and lead by Antonia Bayle ruler of Qeynos (featuring voice of Heather Graham), and Freeport which is evil and lead by Lucan D'Lere Overlord of Freeport (featuring voice of Christopher Lee). Antonia Bayle ruler of the kingdom of Qeynos, though young she is an accomplished leader who inspires courage and valor in the hearts of her people. Which she commands their attention when she speaks from the heart and motivates her people that she can do great things. She is very beautiful. Qeynos has grown into a huge metropolis and center of commerce, and a place called home by good adventurers walking the path of light. They have gathered in this land in order to bring order to the Shattered Lands. A human who once was a paladin, but cast aside his belief in honesty and valor for the glory of personal power, named Lucan D'Lere now ruled Freeport as an Overlord. He rules Freeport from a fortress of evil called Twilight Citadel. He is always looking to expand his personal power. In the past 500 years, the once place filled with many different beliefs, is now ruled by the Overlord Lucan. Under his power the city has become a powerful empire, something to be delt with, casting its shadow on the shattered lands. An evil adventurer seeking the dark path will love to call this place home.

Hello, my name is Belegund, named after my ancestor from 500 years ago. I am a halfling, and this is my story of how I went from a scout to a swashbuckler. Halflings' language is a language called Stout. We were created by Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane, King of Thieves and lord of the Plane of Mischief. That is why we fall into all manner of mischief, merriment, and shenanigans. I am, like the name says, half the size of humans. I have oversized, hairy feet. My people love good ale and a good meal and a good tale. We also love rural surroundings like our old home Rivervale, now in the Enchanted Lands, with homes in grassy mounds in the earth, rather than crowded cities. Rivervale, now a place which is far less inviting than 500 years ago, once was the home to my people, on the edge of Misty Thicket. Now most halflings are found in the Baubbleshire. Thats where I live now in my one room apartement. I'm in a guild called Blade Lord Order and my best friend is a swashbuckler by the name of Marino. Halflings have great strength and agility for their size so they can take on larger foes. Halflings' inherent curiosity pursuits makes us excellent scouts, plus halfling's ability to sneak up on someone makes for unexpected attacks on enemies, and also is helpful to sneak past guards in certain situations. Even though we are willing to help Qeynosians to rebuild the world starting with their city, we are always looking for signs of home. We miss Rivervale and the Misty Thicket, some have gone into deep depressions of home sickness, even though a halfling's mood is usually cheery.
